RICHARD O. 'DICK' SEIDENSPINNER, 80, of Marion Station, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at his home.
Born in Washington, DC on September 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Fred and Jane Osman Seidenspinner. His wife, Myra A. Randall, died January 15, 2003. He had been a resident of Marion since 1993.
A US Army veteran, he was a retired electrician for the government of Washington, DC. He was a member of the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion in Crisfield, he enjoyed boating, and supported the Somerset County Humane Society and Coastal Hospice.
He is survived by four children, Mark Seidenspinner of Colonial Beach, VA, Thomas Seidenspinner of Vienna, VA, Cynthia Weston and husband James of Fredericksburg, VA, and Jeffrey Seidenspinner of Ocean City, MD; three step-children, Dennis Randall and wife Elena of Laytonsville, MD, Donna Marie Randall and husband Frank Pierce of New Market, VA, and Deborah Hertel and husband Jeff of Annapolis; one sister, Gail Gray of Winchester, VA; six grandchildren, Matthew, Victoria, Connor, Zachary, Nathan, and Samantha; and ten step-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion Post #16 in Crisfield on Saturday, January 14, 2012 from 3-6 PM. The family requests that casual attire be worn.
