Obituary

Regena "Jeanne" Goldsborough, 73, passed away at her home into the arms of her Saviour on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Jeanne was born in Crisfield, MD, to Reggie and Jeanette Morgan. She grew up loving to play sports. In 1965, she graduated from Crisfield High School where she won the Babe Ruth Award for her excellence in field hockey, basketball, and softball. She held the record at CHS for most points scored in a basketball game for many years.

Jeanne married her beloved husband, Charles "Chalky" Goldsborough, on October 27, 1967. They shared fifty-three years of happily married life. They traveled near and far, enjoying softball tournaments, car shows, car races, and dining out. You could not name a restaurant they had not tried!

Jeanne was a lifetime member of the Crisfield Church of God where she committed her life to Christ at a young age. She was involved in many church activities including singing in the choir and working at Crisfield Christian Academy. At CCA, she left a lasting impact on her students through coaching and her spiritual guidance.

In addition to her mother and husband, Jeanne is survived by the delight of her life children, Beth (Grant) Corbin and Jon (Angel) Goldsborough and grandchildren, Megan Corbin (Tom), Alex (Emily) Corbin, and Seth Goldsborough. She is also survived by siblings Nancy (Don) Clayton, Reggie "Bud" (Lois) Morgan, Joy (Gene) Hawke, Rob (Linda) Morgan, Pam (Rob) Matthews, Chris (Rudi) Frey, sister-in-law Elmira Ford and brother-in-law Johnny (Lori) Goldsborough. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who mourn her passing.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, Reggie Morgan, mother-in-law Frances Goldsborough, sister-in-law Ruth Ward, and brother-in-law Jackie Ward.

Jeanne was showered with her family's love and attention, especially as her health declined. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donations in Jeanne's memory may be made to the Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad (LSCARS) P.O. Box 406, Crisfield, MD 21817.
