Rebecca Sterling, 69, of Crisfield, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin.

Born in Crisfield January 12, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Richard H. and Helen Rachel Sterling.  Her husband, Mitchell K. Sterling, died March 2, 2016.

Becky was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1967, and graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore summa cum laude with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management.  She worked for several years at Dresser Industries and later was manager of Crockett Shipyard.

She was a faithful member of Crisfield Wesleyan Church where she played piano for many years.  She enjoyed working in her yard and she loved her cats.

She is survived by three sons, Calvin Mitchell Sterling and his significant other, Katrina Duitscher of Crisfield, Michael David Sterling and his wife Starlet of Tangier, VA, and Jacob Kay Sterling and his wife Cynthia of Angier, NC; seven grandchildren, Darrell Mitchell Sterling and wife Jennifer of Crisfield, Richard Jackson Sterling of Crisfield, Chelsea Kaye Sterling of SC, David Michael Sterling of Crisfield, Angel Marie Sterling of Tangier, Heather Dawn Brink of Tampa, FL, and James Payne Waddell of Angier; four great-grandchildren, Madyson Grace McGuire and Wesley Diesel Watson of Tampa, and Damon Mitchell Sterling and Jensen Henry Sterling of Crisfield; and a nephew, Joseph Tyler of Crisfield.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Tyler, Jr.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2 PM at Crisfield Wesleyan Church.  Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate.  Urn interment will be later in Asbury Cemetery.
