Rebecca "Becky" Anderson Porter, 85, of Crisfield, died Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

She was born in Crisfield, MD on April 26, 1937 to the late Leland and Florence Bonneville.

After marrying Philip L. Anderson of Crisfield in 1957, they moved to Fruitland, MD. Philip predeceased her in 1983.

She was self employed at Peninsula Insurance Company of Salisbury, MD for 35 years and retired as Assistant Vice-President. She served on the Fruitland City Council for 11 years.

Shortly after retiring, she returned to her home town of Crisfield and enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and doing volunteer work. Although she enjoyed all volunteer work, her passion was teaching adult reading classes and working with students at Crisfield Christian Academy. She also attended Crisfield Church of God.

Surviving Becky is her son, Philip L. Anderson, Jr.; grandson, Philip L. Anderson, III and wife Melissa; great-grandchild, Eloise Charlotte Anderson; brothers, Leland Bonneville, Jr. and wife Shelby Jean and James Bonneville and wife Beulah; nieces Bonnie White and husband Michael, Barbara Bonneville, Brenda Dunn and husband Kenneth, and Cheryl Moore; and several great-nephews and a niece.

A Celebration of Life Graveside will be held at Sunnyridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 12 PM. Rev. Harvey Tyler will officiate.
