Raydie James "Jim Boy" Sterling, Jr., 75, of Crisfield, died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.
Born in Crisfield June 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Raydie, Sr. and Norma Lee Nock Sterling.
He was a graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1965 and went on to obtain his Master Barber's license. He was retired from Sherwin Williams Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield where he worked 38 years in the shipping and receiving department.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was active in the AMEN Men's group and served on the Board of Trustees. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to the beach, eating out, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also adored his pet dog, "Teddie".
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Phillips Sterling of Crisfield; children, Raydie James "Jamie" Sterling, III/Casie and Kristy Sterling Cullen/Brent, all of Crisfield; grandchildren, Brooklyn Thomas, Madison Thomas, Steven Riley Cullen, and Brady James Cullen; special cousin, Dale Brittingham/Fran of Salisbury; nieces, Jill Taylor of Salisbury and Vonny Pilchard of Pocomoke; and a nephew, Phillip Riggin of Palm Springs, CA.
Several great-nieces, great-nephews, and many special friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Jimmie Lee Sterling; sister-in-law, Janet Riggin; and a nephew, Rusty Riggin.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2 PM at Asbury U. M. Church where a visitation will be one hour prior. Pastor Hubert Jicha will officiate.
