RANDALL STANLEY JUSTICE, 78, of Crisfield, passed away quietly on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield with his family at his side.
Born in Crisfield on January 5, 1932, he was a son of the late John T. and Ethel K. Parks Justice. His second wife, Lois G. Justice, preceded him in death April 22, 2008.
Randy was a Korean War veteran who served with the United States Army Reserves retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. He also worked for the City of Crisfield and Mrs. Paul's Kitchens before settling in at Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield where he worked from 1971 until his retirement in 1994. Most of his co-workers affectionately called him "Shorty".
Randy was an active member of the Crisfield Elks Lodge #1044 holding every office and serving as Exalted Ruler for two terms. He was also an active member of the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion where he proudly served as Adjutant.
He was also a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.
He is survived by three brothers, Harry Lee Justice of California, his twin brother, Ralph S. Justice, Sr., of Crisfield, and Rev. Arthur Justice and his wife Arlene of North East; two daughters, Ruth Ellen Sterling and her husband Steve of Crisfield, and Terri Lynn Justice of Princess Anne; a son, John Charles Justice of Fruitland; his step-daughter and caregiver, Jennifer G. Landon and her husband Bunk of Crisfield; a special aunt, Lucy Sommers of Crisfield; six grandsons, three granddaughters, three step-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and two great-grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a step-son, J. Louis Gundling.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 3, 2010 at 2 PM at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. An Elks memorial service will be conducted by the Crisfield Elks Lodge # 1044. Interment will be Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
