PEGGY JANE ENNIS TULL, 80, of Crisfield, went home to be with the Lord and have a joyous reunion with her beloved husband and parents on Sunday, June 6, 2010. She died at the home of her daughter with her loving family by her side.
Born in Crisfield March 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Emma Wilson Ennis. Her husband of 57 years, Maurice Wilson Tull, whom she married February 4, 1949, preceded her in death April 12, 2006.
A 1946 graduate of Crisfield High School, she attended Southern Seminary and Junior College in Buena Vista, Virginia. She worked at the former Em-Par Flower Shop, Landon's Flower Shop as well as the former Peyton Pharmacy before Rubberset Corp. in Crisfield opened in 1967. She worked there in customer service from their opening until she retired in 1990.
She was a member of Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Crisfield and for most of her life was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, and was active in Sunday School, UMW and Women's Circle. She was active in various organizations such as McCready Hospital Junior Board, Crab Derby Association and the Civic Club. She was a life-long bridge player, and enjoyed reading, gardening, watching old movies, and spending time with family and friends. In addition, she was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan as well as the former Baltimore Colts.
She is survived by her daughter, Tara T. Ward and her husband Steve of Crisfield; her granddaughter, Lori C. Ward of Crisfield; her brother-in-law, Roger Tull of Crisfield; her niece, Terri Scott and her husband David of Severn; her nephew, Steve Tull and his wife Holly of Cambridge; eight special cousins, Phyllis East and her husband Marion of Crisfield, Phil Maurer of Portland, Oregon and Fran Maurer of Los Gatos, CA, and Tammie Harant and Guy Maurer of Great Falls, Montana, Alec Macrae, Jason East and Bobby East; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and many close friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 PM. Pastor Stephen Willing will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
