Peggy Ann Corbin, 85, of Tylerton, Smith Island, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.
Born on Tylerton on March 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Charles and Annie Mae Parks Smith. Her husband of 63 years, Harvey Weldon Corbin, Sr., preceded her in death on November 16, 2014.
Peggy was a homemaker and enjoyed helping her late husband with his seafood business. She was also a caretaker to her mother for many years. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church on Tylerton and was active in the United Methodist Women.
Family was her life and she greatly enjoyed raising her kids and helping with her grandkids. She loved to spoil them all! She always kept her home in order in spite of working hard every day.
She is survived by her children, Harvey Corbin, Jr. and wife Dora Lynn, Eddie Corbin and wife Joan, and Ronnie Corbin and wife Tina, all of Tylerton, Patty Laird and husband John of Princess Anne, and Carole Ann Landon and husband Everett of Ewell; sister, Lila Marsh of Onancock, VA; grandchildren, Bryan Corbin and wife Kristen, Adam Corbin, Casey Corbin, Daniel Corbin and wife Michelle, Taylor Smith and husband Daniel, Brad Laird and wife Krispen, Dianna McGee and husband Steve, Ross Landon and wife Ana, Emma Landon, Elizabeth Landon, and Scott Laird and wife Krista; great-grandchildren, Faith, Kimberly, Anna, Kamryn, Blake, and Marah Corbin, Ellie Ann and Oliver Ross Landon, Brody and Keaton Laird, Lilly McGee, and Jenna Laird.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Phillip Laird; and siblings, Ruth Bradshaw, Edwin Smith, Harold Smith, Gene Smith, Jimmy Smith, and Billy Smith.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. Everett Landon will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2 PM at Union United Methodist Church. Viewings on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 will be held from 10-11 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home and from 6-8 PM at Union United Methodist Church.
A special boat for funeral passengers, Chelsea Lane, will depart Somers Cove Marina Wednesday at 12 Noon and return following the funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are wished to be made to Union United Methodist Church, c/o Robin Bradshaw, Tylerton, MD 21866.
