Born in Brooms Island, MD on February 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Harvey Daniel Dukes and Mabel Sheppard Dukes.  Her husband of 66 years, T. Travis Tyler, preceded her in death on November 22, 2016.

A faithful member of the Crisfield Wesleyan Church, Pauline was active in the Good News Club, was Missons Director, Sunday School Teacher, and played the piano and organ for many years.  She was a prayer warrior, and even had a book of names she would religiously pray for every morning.  She also loved attending the Wesleyan Denton Camp every year.

She loved gardening, music, singing and helping people in her community, especially those who were sick or shut-in.

She is survived by three children, Ruth Tyler Hudson and husband James of Millsboro, DE, Kathy Tyler Purnell and husband Ron of Crisfield, and Thurman T. Tyler, Jr. and wife Suzanne of Marion; six grandchildren, Fred Hudson and wife Antonia, Dinah Brown and husband Joseph, R.J. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Daniel Tyler; two sons that died in infancy; and a sister, Esther Dukes.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 1 PM at the Crisfield Wesleyan Church. A viewing will be from 12-1 PM. Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
