PAULINE VIVIAN SWIFT, 90, of Crisfield, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 surrounded by her family at the home of her loving son Tommy, and his wife Cathy, who had been her caregiver for the past seven years in Delmar, Maryland.

Born in Deer Park, Maryland on September 1, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Bert and Mae Collins Paugh. Her husband, George C. Swift, preceded her in death on May 6, 2005.

She was a retired clerk at the former Kent's Pharmacy in Crisfield where she worked 34 years. She was very devoted to her family and loved doing for others. She loved cooking and also enjoyed feeding the cats at the transfer station as well as feeding the attendants.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by a daughter, Betty L. Sterling and her husband Howard of Crisfield; a son, Thomas Pasquith and his wife Catherine of Delmar, MD; her grandchildren, Michelle Conrad of Destin, Florida, Terri and Gary Townsend of Salisbury, William and Carla Thornes of Delmar, Delaware, Steven Daniel and his fiancé Karen Davis of Moneta, Virginia, George and Donna Thornes of Salisbury, and Paula and Tommy Bell of Pittsville; a brother, Leroy Paugh of Baltimore; a sister, Bernadine Hinebaugh of Oakland, MD; a brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Edna Swift of Crisfield; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Thornes on October 18, 2008; one great-grandchild; and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 12, 2010 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
