Obituary

Paul Tyler Whittington, 82, of Crisfield died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne.

Born on March 8, 1924, on his family's farm in Marion Station, he was a son of the late Austin L. Sr. and Rose Esther Tyler Whittington. His first wife, Mildred Rae Whittington, died March 2, 1990.

He was a dedicated farmer and a member of Wesleyan Church in Crisfield.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Deborah Lynn Whittington of Crisfield; two stepchildren, Chuck Nelson of Crisfield and Lisa Sterling of Westover; his mother-in-law, Gladys Adkins of Crisfield; his father-in-law, Ernest "Buddy" Jones of Crisfield; two nieces and three nephews.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Frances Whittington Beauchamp and Anna Rose Bradshaw; and a brother, Austin Whittington Jr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. The Revs. Philip Morris and Bob Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
