Patrick Lee (Nick) Gerald, age 68, of Crisfield, Maryland, died December 9, 2022 at Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield February 21, 1954, he was the son of the late Donald W. and Cleo A. Sneade Gerald.

Nick was born with Cerebral Palsy. Although his physical handicaps were many, his mind was sharp. He could configure his electronic devices to perform as he needed to better communicate with family and friends. He was a talented artist, drawing and painting canvases and designing his own Christmas cards.

Years ago, Nick became a CB radio enthusiast. He went by the handle "Li'l Crabber". Even though his speech was often difficult to understand, the radio community was so welcoming and made him feel part of the gang.

Nick's mom was his caregiver until just before her death earlier this year. They were understandably very close and he missed her so much.

He is survived by his sisters, Donna Bush (Barrie) Danville, Kentucky and Christine Marshall (David) Marion Station; brothers, Barry R. and David Tebe Gerald of Crisfield; uncle, David F. Sneade, Las Vegas, NV; nieces Wendy Robertson, Erin Weller, Joanne Marshall, Carol Marshall, nephews Jon Robertson, Matthew Gerald, Donald Gerald, Nicholas Gerald as well as several cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
