Patricia "Trisha" Dawn Esley of Crisfield passed away at Tidal Health Hospital on January 31, 2026.
Born and raised in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Laird Sr. and Dawn Hope Laird of Crisfield.
Trisha graduated from Crisfield High School Class of 1979. She worked at Handys Seafood and as a CNA in MedSurg at McCready Hospital in Crisfield. She worked in Home Health and loved taking care of people in their homes.
She was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She was a devoted and loving mother and spent her time making sure her children were well cared for.
She was married to the love of her life Charles "Chuck" Esley on November 21, 1979 and she cherished every moment by his side.
She attended The Church of God and Faith Fellowship.Trisha loved to collect model lighthouses and pictures of our family.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her brother Roger Laird, his wife Teresa of Crisfield, her daughter Erica Barone and her husband David and their children Cadence (whom she shared a special bond with), Kennedi and Maci. Brother in laws- Frank Esley/Barbara of Salisbury, John Esley/Charlotte Glover of Kingston, Sister in law Linda Robinson/Rob or Virginia. Special nieces Brandi Abbott of Crisfield, Danielle Delfin-Lara of Arizona, Ashley Crockett of Crisfield, and Marlo Burke of Salisbury. Nephew Ronnie Hopkins of Virginia. Nieces Missy Esley-Collin’s of Virginia, Kristan Wheatley of Westover, and Amber Brown of Virginia. Special Aunts Ella Payne and Linda Sue Mason. Special friends Hazel Cosner, Barbara Mister, Andrea Massey, Pixie Pilchard, Patti and Norman Swift, Jeff Sterling, Ethel Abbott.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Dawn Laird, sister Robin Parks, brother Tommy Laird and daughter Heather Saurbaugh.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
