Obituary

Patricia Helen Hopkins, 85, of Crisfield, died Monday, November 25, 2024 at her home.

Born in Baltimore on January 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Feehley and Hazel Antoinette Grumbine Feehley.  Her husband of 62 years, Kenneth Gillman Hopkins, preceded her in death on August 16, 2020.

After leaving Mount Airy, MD, where she worked as a Howard County School Bus Driver, Mrs. Hopkins and her husband moved to Crisfield, MD and purchased the former Waterman's Inn. They owned and operated the restaurant until moving to Florida in 1988, where she worked as an Administrator at the Margate Police Department until her retirement. Mr. and Mrs. Hopkins returned to Crisfield in 2006.

Mrs. Hopkins had a great love for animals, plants, crossword puzzles, sharing family stories and making her house a home for her loved ones.  Most of all, she adored her family and especially loved doting on her grandchildren.

She is survived by five children, Kenneth Hopkins and wife Jeanna of Monroe, WA, Kelly Hopkins of Crisfield, MD, Kris Hopkins and wife Karen of Boca Raton, FL, Kasey Hopkins of Crisfield, MD, and Kimberly Mrohs and husband Doug of Westover, MD; brother-in-law, Jay "J.W." Waldron of AZ; two sisters-in-law, Anne Feehley of Towson, MD and Dee Feehley of Pasadena, MD; 10 grandchildren, Shawn Hopkins and wife Carrie and their children Corydon, Winslow and Conrad of Marysville, WA, Keena Hopkins and Christa Hopkins, both of Monroe, WA, Kevin Hopkins and Kylie Hopkins, both of Boca Raton, FL, Calin Wilson of Miami, FL, Eliana Rodriguez and Paul Rodriguez, both of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Jack Mrohs and Gracie Mrohs, both of Westover, MD; her good friends, Charlie Kidd of FL and Ginny Downy of SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joseph Hopkins, who died on June 8, 1961 at the age of 2 ½; and two brothers, Jack Feehley and Dr. Cornelius Feehley.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
