Pamela Lynne Wharton Tawes, 71, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. She spent her last days surrounded by friends and family at Peak Resources in Nags Head, NC.

She was was born on October 11, 1946 in Crisfield, Maryland. Pam was an unconditionally loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a small business owner, and owned two businesses, The Brew Thru in Crisfield, MD, and Cape Woods Campground in Buxton, NC. Pam loved to cook, read, and travel. She lived her life with humor, compassion, and a great love for her family.

Pam is survived by her mother, June Riggin Wharton; Husband, J.C.W. Tawes III, Sister, Barbara Wharton Ennis (Johnny); Four sons, Kent Tawes (Amy), Andrew Tawes (Kathy), Neil Tawes (Angela), David Tawes (Tricia); Ten grandchildren; Drew, Kate, Julia, Libby, Landry, Carson, Anna, Emily, James, Conner; Uncle, Roy Riggin; Cousin, Roy Riggin Jr.;Nieces and Nephews, Windi Jones, Dana Somers, Nathan Tawes, Jennifer Griffin, Ty Mericle, Aaron Tawes, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her father the late Lenox "Spuggs" Bramble Wharton II.

A memorial service will be held in Pam's honor at 11:00am on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield, MD. The Rev. Paul Holland will officiate.
