Obituary

Norwood Gary Tull, 61, of Crisfield, died Friday, June 22, 2012 at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield.

Born in Crisfield on June 14, 1951, he was the son of Eileen Marshall Tull of Salisbury and the late Norwood Harvey Tull.

He was a life-long waterman, and formerly was captain of the oyster buy boat "Capt. Wood's". He was also co-owner along with his wife of the Smith Island Sweet Shop.

He was a member of the Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church in Marion and was a former member of the Crisfield Church of God. He was also an active member of the Chesapeake Bay Fishermen's Association.

His favorite thing was spending time with his family; and his grandchildren and great-grandchild were his pride and joy.

Along with his mother, Eileen, he is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cheryl Tull of Crisfield; three children, Susan Bradshaw and her husband Don of Crisfield, Jody Gary Tull and his wife Lisa of Marion, and Melissa Smith and her husband Stevie of Upper Fairmount; eight grandchildren, Greg Bradshaw, Courtney Tull, Steven Smith, Bryan Smith, Zachary Tull, Nathan Smith, Megan Tull, and Collin Bradshaw; one great-grandson, Willis Redden, III; a sister, Joanne Wolfe and her husband Ed of Parsonsburg; a special niece and nephew, Lisa Dunham of Alaska and Daniel Corbin and his wife Michelle of Salisbury; numerous other relatives; and many friends.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Tull.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev.'s Jerry Hughes and Harvey Tyler will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
