Norman Smith, 68, of Crisfield, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Exmore, Virginia, he was a Mason and attended Waters Chapel Church in Marion. He loved NASCAR and refinishing furniture. He always enjoyed tinkering in his shop.

A graduate of Woodson High School, he worked for the State of Maryland at the former Seafood Lab in Crisfield for 11 years and was an Auto Body Repairman at the former Miley's Auto Body in Crisfield for many years.

Norman is survived by his companion of 22 years, Mitchell Ann Hill of Crisfield; the mother of his children, Lois Jean Smith of Marion; a daughter, Carolyn Smith of Marion; a son, Alfonzo "Wimp" Jackson also of Marion; a step-daughter, Donna Crockett of Crisfield; and grandchildren, Damien Smith, Elizabeth Crockett, Wesley Crockett, Nicholas Albert, and Alex Albert.

He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Patty Albert.

A viewing will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 7-9 PM.
