Obituary

Norma Lee Wilson Carman, 86, of Crisfield, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield on October 19, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Lillie Elliott Wilson and was raised by the late Milbourne and Alda Elliott. Her husband, Charles L. "Lindy" Carman preceded her in death on June 5, 2009.

A graduate of Crisfield High School, she worked as a beautician out of her home and attended Crisfield Church of God. She was also a member of the former Crisfield VFW Post #8274 Auxiliary.

Norma was an excellent cook and loved to read. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids immensely and always cherished spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie Carman/Debbie of Snow Hill, Robin Morgan/Greg of Rehobeth, James M. "Jay" Carman and Lori Jones Somers/Allen, all of Crisfield, Lonnie Diskin/David of Parsonsburg, Holly Kauffman/Wayne Foxwell, and Heath Carman/Degi, all of Crisfield; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Linda Ann Webb Carman; and many special nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles L. "Little Lindy" Carman, Jr.; all of her siblings, Jesse Thomas Wilson, Jr., Reginald Wilson, Marie Kiem, Rudolph Wilson, Mary Scott, James Wilson, Cecilia Gotschall, and Jerry Lawson; and a great-granddaughter, Raven Skye Pilkerton.

The Carman siblings would like to thank their brother, Jay, for all of the love and care he provided their Mother since the death their father.  Jay, your devotion to her care will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 1 PM with a visitation from 12-1 PM. Pastor David Diskin will officiate and interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with final expenses may be made to Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, 306 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
