NORMA L. BELL, 87, of Crisfield, died Friday, November 9, 2007 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield on July 12, 1920, she was a daughter of the late James Isaac Lankford and the late Marie Emma Evans Boggs. Her husband, Eugene Russell Bell died in 1963.
She retired from Rubberset Corporation in Crisfield in 1982.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Crisfield where she was very active in the WMU, taught Sunday school, and helped with the soup kitchen. She was a devoted grandmother and she loved sewing.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Tina Marie Evans of Crisfield and Lloyd Eugene Evans of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania; her brother, Sterling Lankford of Fruitland; her former sister-in-law, Vivian Bradshaw of Crisfield; her sister-in-law, Doris Bell Nelson of Glen Burnie; her brothers-in-law, Charles F. "Buddy" Bell of Glen Burnie and John "Chubby" Bell of Dover; her cousin, Carol Kupser of Willards; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marie Bell Duffey in 1995; and her brother, Jimmy Lankford in 1989.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call Monday evening from 7-9. Pastor Jack "Tad" Maroon will officiate the service. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
