Nolan T. Ford, Sr., 91, of Fairmount, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from TidalHealth McCready Pavilion.   He had been a resident of Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield since 2016.

Born in Fairmount August 6, 1929, he was a son of the late John Thomas Ford and Mildred Bozman Ford.

A US Army veteran, he was owner of Nolan T. Ford and Sons painting business and also was a waterman.  He loved going to church and over the years attended Fairmount U. M. Church, Walker Memorial Church of God, Pocomoke Church of God, and Liberty Rock Church.  Once a resident of the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home he enjoyed attending church services there as well.  He was a history buff and working on family genealogy was his favorite pastime.

He is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Norma P. Ford; three sons, Nolan T. Ford, Jr. (Peggy) of Tennessee, Bruce A. Ford (Kimberly) of Salisbury, and Kelvin B. Ford (Carol) of Marion; eight grandchildren, Freedom Ford, Chad Dowdle (Jodie), Jennifer Ford, Katelyn Ford, Morgan Ford, Lindsay Ford, Kelvin B. Ford, Jr., and Kristy Revell (Andy); ten great-grandchildren, Damion Ford, Christian Ford, Morgan Stiegler, Zachary Ford, Dylan Ford, Hana Dowdle, Cac Dowdle, Anthony Carroll, Haley Revell, and Sydney Lurray; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son, John Hewitt Ford on July 12, 1959; three brothers, Charles Elwood Ford, William Clyde Ford, and Leonard Ford; and a grandchild, Shelby Lynn Ford.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Harvey Tyler will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2 PM at Restored Souls Ministries, 30063 Fairmount Road, Westover, MD 21871.  A viewing will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
