IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Noah Thomas
Bradshaw
May 15, 1945 – December 15, 2025
Noah Thomas Bradshaw, 80, of Westover, Maryland, passed away on December 15, 2025, at his home on Kingston Lane, the place he loved and carefully tended, surrounded by family and memories of the life he shared with his recently deceased wife, Carolyn.
Born on May 15, 1945, in Crisfield, Maryland, Noah was the son of Coulbourne Bradshaw, a beloved waterman, and Estelle Bradshaw, a beautician for 75 years known for her warmth and smile. Raised on Myrtle Street in Crisfield, Noah developed a lifelong connection to the water, hard work, and the quiet ingenuity passed down through generations of his family.
Noah served his country as Specialist 5th Class in the United States Army and was in charge of developing computer programs to manage troop movements during the war. His life thereafter reflected continued discipline and creativity. He was a lifelong lover of music and had an early career as drummer in a band that played live and on radio in the Washington D.C. area. He subsequently built a successful and varied career working in software sales management, founding Bradshaw Homes, Inc. in the Atlanta area, serving as a City Inspector for Crisfield, MD, and later becoming a meticulous and welcoming Airbnb host with his wife Carolyn. A highlight for him was being an official candidate for President of the United States in 1984, the first year for which he was eligible. In one interview, he justified the adventure by responding, "Only in America can anyone aspire to becoming President. It's always been my secret dream since I was a child."
A natural problem-solver, Noah exuded childlike optimism and a limitless ability to repurpose, repair, and improve anything placed in front of him. When challenges arose, his response was often,"We'll fix it by Wednesday." His voicemail greeting for decades, "Have a smashing good day!" captured his good humor and upbeat spirit. Even late in life, when medical equipment was delivered to his home, Noah disassembled and reassembled it, making smart improvements with the same curiosity that guided him his entire life.
Noah adored his wife, Carolyn J. Bradshaw, with whom he shared 59 years. Together they built a life rooted in love, partnership, conversation, and shared joy. Whether spending hours talking over coffee beginning at insanely early hours, renovating their house together, watching the day close with their cats on their porch, or welcoming family into their home, Noah and Carolyn were together always.
He is lovingly remembered by his children Mark T. Bradshaw and his wife Kim of Lexington, Massachusetts, Scott A. Bradshaw and his wife Nancy of Milton, Georgia, Tammy B. Reagan and her husband Tim of Safety Harbor, Florida. Noah was a proud grandfather to Ben Bradshaw, Lucy Bradshaw, Nick Bradshaw, Tyler Bradshaw, Cooper Bradshaw, and Noah Reagan, and a delighted great-grandfather to Cleo L. Bradshaw. Noah was also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jack Bradshaw of Salisbury, Charles Bradshaw and his wife Tammy of Crisfield, Cecil B. Shannon of Pocomoke City, and Karen Evans Cullen and her husband, Dale of Beaufort, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
For the past 21 years, Noah and Carolyn made their home in Westover after relocating from Atlanta, Georgia, drawn back to Crisfield largely at the request of Carolyn, who shared Noah's love of the eastern shore. A devoted member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Noah valued faith, fellowship, and service. He loved Crisfield, its people, and its traditions like crabs, oysters, and boats, especially those built by his father and grandfather. He found comfort in cats, satisfaction in fixing things, and happiness in the simplest moments, including sharing popcorn with his children.
A funeral service and celebration of Noah's life will be Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1PM at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield where a visitation will be from 12-1PM. Rev. Jim Riley will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Noah may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, c/o Robert H. Bradshaw, Jr., 306 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817; or a charity close to the heart.
