Naomi Elizabeth Carmine, 89, of Crisfield, died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her home.
Born in Crisfield on May 30, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Preston and Matilda McCready Thomas. Her husband of 53 years, Jesse William Carmine, Sr., preceded her in death on January 7, 2008.
A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1948, she was a homemaker and worked at her family's former businesses: Carmine Snow Ball Stand and J&J Video. She attended the Crisfield Church of God.
Naomi was a collector of many things including dolls, Snow Babies, coins, stamps, baseball cards and Coca-Cola memorabilia to name a few. She loved birds and bird watching but especially hummingbirds and cardinals. Most of all, she loved her family and was a wonderful and devoted Mother and Grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Donna Tyler and husband Timmy and Jesse W. Carmine, Jr. and wife Shirl, all of Crisfield; her granddaughter, Jessica Carmine of Crisfield; her great-grandson, Silas Paul, who was the light of her life; her sisters and brother, Becky Evans of Crisfield, Johnny Thomas and wife Dixie of Salisbury, Tillie Green of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Presteen Thomas of Laurel, Delaware; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey W. Carmine in 2015; great-grandson, Ian Joseph in 2015; and 12 brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home from 1-2 PM and a graveside funeral service officiated by the Rev. John Thorne will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park. There will be a funeral procession from the funeral home to the graveside.
