Myrtle Louise Sterling went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 11, 2025 at the age of 93. She was a resident of Hartley Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pocomoke City.
Born in Marion Station on February 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Severn Stacius and Beatrice Taylor Bundick. Her husband of 48 years, Jackie A. Sterling, preceded her in death in 1995.
Myrtle worked at the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchen and was a member of Marion Baptist Church. She also attended Crisfield Wesleyan Church.
She will be best remembered for her amazing pies and cakes at church socials. She loved the Lord and all the beauties of His creation, especially wildlife and flowers.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Majors and husband William of Mt. Vernon and Trelle Sterling and wife Louise of Crisfield; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her eldest son, Jackie W. Sterling in 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home at 1 PM with a viewing one hour prior. Rev. Joe Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
