MYRTLE V. HARRIS, 83, of Crisfield, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at her home.

Born in Crisfield, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ruby Collins Culbertson. Her husband, Melvin M. Harris, died May 15, 2004.

She was a homemaker.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by four children, Melvin Harris, Jr., Donna Hickman, Carol Howard, and Tommy Harris, all of Crisfield; two brothers, Lewis Culbertson of Crisfield and Albert Culbertson, Jr. of Crisfield; a sister, Peggy Culbertson of Crisfield; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna Jean Harris and Faye Gilson.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Jerry Hughes will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 11 AM at Mariners United Methodist Church Cemetery in Crisfield where a fellowship meal will follow in the Church Hall.
