Monica Lynne Whitehead, 58, of Millsboro, DE, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD.

Born in Elizabeth City, NC on October 11, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Carolyn Chambers Whitehead.

Monica was loyal, hardworking and very well-liked by everyone that knew her and as owner of her property management business, Rusty Management/Consultants, LLC.  She was most definitely a fun-loving "people person" who always had an upbeat and "larger than life" personality.

Monica loved to read and had an extensive collection of dolls.  She was passionate about her fur babies, "Peanut" who is being adopted by her neighbor, and "Taffy" and "Rusty" who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  A loving daughter, sister, aunt, and niece, Monica especially enjoyed her role as an Aunt and loved doting on her niece, nephew, and great-niece and great-nephew.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Susan Whitehead of Greensboro, NC; her nephew, Eric Whitehead (Jessica) of Summerfield, NC; her niece, Laura Bunce (Jordan) of Greenville, SC; her great-nephew, Davis Bunce; her great-niece, Carolyn Grace Whitehead; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William D. Whitehead on May 17, 2020.
