Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Wittmer Drew, 92, of Marion Station, left this world to enter eternal life on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Baltimore July 1, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mildred Hennlein Wittmer and Edward P. Wittmer.

"Millie" was a devoted follower of the Lord who served Him as a member of the Crisfield Evangelical Wesleyan Church where she taught an adult Sunday school class and had been the Church Secretary. She loved the residents of the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home where she served as a volunteer. During her early years, she was active in P.T.A. and was a lifetime member of the Maryland Congress of Parents and Teachers.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John Lewis Drew of Marion Station; three children, F. Wilson Affeld, Jr. and wife Debbie Bolyard of Delta, PA, Phyllis Affeld Deatrich and her husband David of Waynesboro, PA, and Joyce Affeld of White Marsh, MD; six grandchildren, Keith Affeld and his mother, Patricia Long Trovato, Richard M. Romberger, Jr., Dennis Romberger and wife Stacey, Jennifer Jones and husband Martin, Aaron J. Affeld, and Sarah Rose Affeld; three great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; one sister, Catherine Mizelle of White Marsh; several nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Bonnie Hall and Lewis Brown of Joppa, MD, Mardee Sprayberry of San Francisco, Christine Childress of Texas, and Susan Craig of Morro Bay.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers-in-law, and a nephew.

A memorial service will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Riggin will officiate. Urn interment will be at a later date in the VFW Cemetery.
