Mildred Marie "Millie" Parks, 94, of Tangier Island, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at her home.
Born in Virginia on September 12, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Wheatley. Her husband, Page Edmonds Parks, preceded her in death on August 23, 1986.
She was a homemaker and a member of Swain Memorial United Methodist Church on Tangier.
She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Daley and Patti Crockett, both of Tangier; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harry Smith Parks; a daughter, Anita Lumsden; a brother, Harry Smith Wheatley; a sister, Bertie Ann Parks; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services officiated by the Rev. John Flood and Mr. Duane Crockett will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2 PM at Swain Memorial United Methodist Church where a viewing will be Tuesday evening from 7-9. Interment will be in the Wheatley Cemetery.
