Michael Shane Somers, 35, of Marion Station, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Princess Anne.

Born in Crisfield April 10, 1977, he was the son of Cindy Somers Jones of Marion Station, and the late Michael Leonard Somers who died in 2001.

He was a construction worker.

Michael Shane loved to spend time with his family and friends, and he enjoyed playing video games with his kids, and going fishing.

Along with his mother, Cindy Somers Jones, he is survived by his grandmother, Iola Isdell of Marion Station; four children, Michael Somers, Jr., Michaela Somers, Madison Somers, and Buddy Somers, and their Mother, Jaime Waters of Crisfield; his great-uncles, Jerry McCready (Flo) and family of Crisfield, and Donald McCready of Florida; aunts and uncles, David Crockett of Kingston and his son David "Chip" Crockett of PA, Debbie Gales (David) and their children, Henry and Roger Gales, Vanessa Taylor and Amy McMullen, all of NC, Donnie Crockett (Pat) of Shelltown, and their children, DJ Crockett and Jennifer Thomas, Richard Somers and family of TX, and Mary Melissa Somers and family of FL; and a very special companion, Tammy Hutt of Princess Anne.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call two hours prior. Pastor Matthew Sterling will officiate. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
