Michael Timothy Sharpe, 59, of Crisfield, passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 at McCready Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 4, 1952 in Columbia, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Lt. Col. George D. Sharpe, Sr. DPM and Marguerite (Brock) Sharpe.

Michael was a graduate of William Tennet High School in Warminster, Pennsylvania. In 1969 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as a medical EVAC specialist during the Vietnam War. Upon honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a contractor for many years. When he settled to Crisfield, he worked for Rubberset Corporation.

He loved his family, sailing, and he loved life!

He is survived by his two children, Christopher Michael Sharpe, and Sara (Sharpe) Keefer, both of York, Pennsylvania; his siblings, Sally Parnell, wife of Michael Parnell, of Dallas, Texas, Kathryn Chirdon, wife of David Chirdon, of Lincoln, Delaware, and George Sharpe, Jr., married to the former Paula Beacham, of Middletown, Delaware. Michael is also survived by his very special love, Pam Bodani of Marion, and her sons, Shane Greene, Kenny Bodani, and Dustin Bodani, all of Baltimore; five grandchildren, William and Violet Keefer, Emily and Aubrey Bodani, and Owen Greene; and nieces and nephews, Megan and Michael Parnell, Brian, Natalie and Emily Chirdon, and Kathryn and Kimberly Sharpe.

A memorial service and scattering ceremony will be held at a later date.
