Michael Kellam Harrison, 84 of Marion Station, Maryland was born to this earth on June 25, 1938. He left this world to be in Jesus' presence on Sunday, April 23, 2023, surrounded by his family.

Michael was born in Crisfield, Maryland to Daniel and Dorothy (Kellam) Harrison. He grew up on Smith Island Maryland with his siblings Danny and Hen and graduated from Crisfield High School, class of 1956. He married the love of his life, Yvonne (Marshall) Harrison, on December 26, 1958. They built a life together, raised four children, and celebrated 64 years of marriage. Michael was a waterman for 25 years, working alongside his father and sons.

Michael began a second career working for the Fish and Wildlife Service as a Refuge Manager of Martin Refuge. He retired in 2008, after 28 years of employment.

As a devoted member of the Ewell Methodist Church, Michael had many fond memories of the time he shared in the choir, with the pastors and his church community.

He served as the coordinator for the Smith Island Camp meeting for 13 years, where he was able to share his love of gospel music.

For the last 15 years, Michael made his home with Yvonne in Marion Station.

In recent years he found a church he longed for and could call home, in Christ Fellowship Bible Church. He truly loved the church, the pastor, and his church family.

Michael was an excellent carpenter and craftsman, renovating and repairing homes and building various work boats for watermen in the community. He loved to hunt and fish, travel, study the bible, and spend time with family and friends. Michael freely shared and expressed his love for family and friends. He made sure all knew of his love before leaving his presence.

Throughout Michael's life, he shamelessly shared his faith with anyone that would listen. In the last days of his life, he fearlessly faced the end of this life and looked forward to seeing Jesus.

Michael was fortunate to meet several family members in heaven on Sunday, including his parents: Daniel Wilson Harrison and Dorothy Kellam Harrison; his sister: Henrietta "Hen" Harrison Charnock; and his grandchild: Colby Evans.

There are many left behind that will look forward to seeing him again, including his wife: Yvonne Marshall Harrison; His brother: Daniel "Danny" Harrison and wife Dollie Ann; his children: Michael Harrison Jr., John Harrison and wife Chona, Paul Harrison, Leah Harrison Evans and husband Darren; Grandchildren: Noel Plummer, Lexi Harrison, Haylie Evans.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Christ Fellowship Bible Church at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
