Obituary
MAXINE N. WARD, 91, of Crisfield, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield November 21, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Edna May Lawson McCready. Her husband, Earl R. Ward, preceded her in death March 9, 1979.
A seamstress, she worked for several local sewing factories. She was a member of Mariners United Methodist Church in Crisfield and the former Chesapeake Chapter #28 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by three children, Dicky Ward and his wife Peggy of Crisfield, Donna Milanowski and her husband Tom of Rehobeth Beach, Delaware, and Dave Ward of Marion Station; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one niece; and one nephew.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert McCready,and a great-grandson, James Richard "Ricky" Ward, Jr.
Funeral services officiated by The Rev. Terry Riggin will be Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to the Ricky Ward Memorial Scholarship, 310 Myrtle Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
