Matilda "Tillie" Green, age 83, a resident of Cleveland, TN and formerly of Crisfield, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at her home.

She was the daughter of the late Preston and Matilda Thomas and was also preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Walter Green.

Tillie was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God and had worked for over 30 years at Rubberset, a Sherwin Williams company in Crisfield Maryland. She was a friend to everyone that met her and was the heart of her home.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Karen Green Landon (Dr. Mark Landon), Paula Green Luther (Jeff), the light of her life, her grandchildren: Kelly Laurendeau (Micah), Kari Widdifield (Steven), William "Bill" Thomas and Jennifer Hurst (T.J.); great grandchildren: Landon Hurst, Ryan Laurendeau, Sophia Widdifield, Emma Hurst and Jaxon Widdifield; sisters: Becky Evans, Presteen Thomas; brother Johnny Thomas (Dixie).

Tillie was best known by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as "Gammy". Many others grew to affectionately know her as Gammy as well.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held graveside, Monday July 15, 2024 at 12:30pm at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
