Mary L. Hastings, 79, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at her home.

Born in Crisfield May 29, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Grayden and Dorothy M. Purcell Wilson. Her husband, Thomas Jerry Hastings, preceded her in death June 26, 2004.

She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Tawes Nursing Home and Hartley Hall Nursing Home and also worked at the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchen in Crisfield from the time they opened until they closed.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Grayden Thomas of Crisfield and James Bradley Thomas and wife Donna of PA; a sister, Rebekah Evans and husband Pete of Salisbury; a brother, Philip G. Wilson and wife Ingrid of Delaware; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth L. Scott in 1989.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. The Rev. Bob Daniels will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
