Mary Lee Dize, 74, of Ewell, Smith Island, died Friday, November 11, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Exmore, VA.
Born in Crisfield September 1, 1942 and raised on Smith Island, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lorena Bradshaw. Her husband, Isaac T. Dize, Jr. preceded her in death November 30, 2013.
She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Ewell United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the UMW. She was also active in the Ewell Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to Christian music, and watching Family Feud. She loved her family and her church family dearly.
She is survived by two children, Isaac T. Dize, III and Tonya Dize (Ronnie Lescallette), all of Exmore, VA; two brothers, Maurice Bradshaw and Thomas Bradshaw (Cindy), all of Smith Island; two sisters, Bonnie Parks of Crisfield and Rosie Potter of Chincoteague; and many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. She was also survived by her "Grand Animals", Tiger and Lucky, Big Jack and Rolo.
Funeral services officiated by Pastors Rick Edmund, Everett Landon, Jim Evans, and Michael Muender will be Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 2 PM at Ewell United Methodist Church where a viewing will be Tuesday evening from 7-9. Interment will be in the Ewell Church Cemetery. There will be a special boat for funeral passengers, Chelsea Lane, that will depart Somers Cove Marina at 12 Noon and return following the funeral services.
