MARY ELLEN COLLINS, 81, of Salisbury and formerly of Crisfield, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Crisfield on December 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Katie Nelson Somers. Her husband, Robert L. Collins, died November 1, 1993. She had been making her home in Salisbury since 1995.

A homemaker, Mrs. Collins was a member of the Crisfield Church of God and enjoyed her dolls and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Louise Hancock and her husband Carroll of Salisbury; one brother, Allen Somers of Crisfield; one sister, Ann Beaumeister of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Carol Lee Muslimani of Germantown, MD and Robert Lawrence Hancock of Herndon, VA; seven great-grandchildren, Raed Muslimani, Jr., Joshua Muslimani, Khalil Muslimani, Benji Muslimani, Callie Muslimani, Lindsey Hancock, and Katie Hancock; and several nieces and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2007 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Philip Morris will officiate. Interment will follow in Crisfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory are requested to be sent to Alzheimer's Association, Eastern Shore Office, 209C Milford Street, Salisbury, MD 21804.
