Marlene Marsh Poole, 85, of Marion Station, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.

Born in Linden, New Jersey on September 6, 1939, she was a daughter of the late James and Rita Evans Crockett.  Her husband of 42 years, Floyd T. Poole, preceded her in death on February 26, 2019.

Over the years Marlene worked at various places such as Carvel Hall, Meatland, and Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home food service.  She was also a caregiver to the elderly.

She was a member of Living Hope Church of God in Marion Station and was a former member of Crisfield Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday School.  She also hosted prayer groups at her home for many years.

She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Kevin Marsh and wife Betty of Crisfield, and Dixie Walker and husband Ward of Marion Station; step-children, Donna Ford and husband Sonny and John "Pool Ball" Poole and wife Gina, all of Crisfield; grandchildren, Jamie Coulbourne, Brittany Walker, Amber Crockett and husband DJ, and John Poole, Jr.; special friends, Stella Sterling, Madeline Daugherty, Mary Sloan, Helen Campbell, Hilda Robels, and Donna Sterling; her life-long friends, Helen Winnicky and the late Edith Warfield; and special cousins, Pam Tyler, and Wayne and Cathy Evans.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jake Poole.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. LeBron Palmer and Rev. Robert Daniels will be held Monday, August 11, 2025 at 2 PM at Living Hope Church of God where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
