Marjorie Wells Bradshaw, 91, of Westover, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born on Tangier Island, Virginia December 29, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Ayers and Hazel Laura Parks Crockett. Her husband, Hezekiah Bradshaw, Jr., died January 2, 1980.
A graduate of Tangier Combined School, she moved to the mainland at the age of 22. She worked at the former Mrs. Paul's Kitchens, Crisfield Cap Factory, John T. Handy, Co., and Rubberset Corp. She also helped her husband on their family farm.
She was a member of Somerset Free Methodist Church in Crisfield. She loved reading the Bible and going to church, hymn sings and gospel concerts.
She is survived by two children, Diane Peregrine Pruitt and Charles Edward Peregrine and his wife Debra, all of Westover; four grandchildren, Donna Wolf and her husband Chris, Jason McIntyre and his wife Alpa, Angela Terrell and her husband Eugene and Robin Peregrine; five great-grandchildren, Jason McIntyre, Jr., Mya McIntyre, Ashley Colson, Brooke Swift and Lee Ann Swift; a niece, Laura Parks; and two nephews, William Ayers Pruitt and Guy Olsen Pruitt.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Jane Pruitt.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Jim Evans will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
