Marjorie Ann “Marge” Laird, 76, of Tylerton, Smith Island, Maryland, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born at home on Ewell, Smith Island on August 25, 1949, she was a daughter of the late John Stanley and Mary Ann Evans Marshall. Her husband of 57 years, Larry Reed Laird, Sr., preceded her in death on November 27, 2024.

A graduate of Crisfield High School, she was a homemaker and worked over the years crab picking and baking cakes. She also worked on the fuel boat on Tylerton and was a funeral assistant for Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.

She was a member of Union United Church on Tylerton and served in many capacities including Sunday School Teacher and singing in the trio. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, studying the Bible, decorating for Christmas and listening to Christmas music. She loved her family, and adored doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Larry R. Laird, Jr. and wife Patti of Crisfield; her daughter, Paula R. Harrison and husband Buck of Crisfield; two sisters, Yvonne Harrison of Marion and June Evans and husband Emory of Port Deposit, MD; brother-in-law, Tony B. Laird of Crisfield; grandchildren, Harold Frock and wife Jennifer of Westover, Tim Frock and wife Amanda of Crisfield, Taylor Laird of Salisbury, Kara Harrison and fiancé Dustin Townsend of Marion, Wyatt Harrison and girlfriend Kayleigh Wallace of Crisfield, Caitlin Shook and husband Keith of Ohio, and Kristen Chesser of Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Cassie Bramble, Lewis Frock, Ryann Frock, Reed Frock, Ramsey Frock, Arianna Avila, Levi Shook, Sutton Shook, Bowie Shook, Rori Townsend, and Lainey Harrison; nieces and nephews, Michael Harrison, Jr. of Crisfield, John Harrison and wife Chona of Westover, Paul Harrison of Crisfield, Leah Harrison Evans and husband Darren of Salisbury, Sherri Birch and husband Charles of Salisbury, Michelle Evans of Port Deposit, Jacqueline Evans of Port Deposit, Carol Joines and husband Douglas of North East, MD, Ruth Ann Smith and husband Lee of Tylerton, Terry Laird, Jr. and wife Danielle of Ewell, and Randy Swift and wife Nicole of Showell; and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael Harrison, Terry and Donna Jean Laird, and Debbie Laird.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 11 AM at Christ Fellowship Bible Church in Marion with a visitation from 10-11 AM. Rev. Stephen S. Willing and Rev. Everett Landon will officiate.
