MARIJEAN STERLING TULL WHITTINGTON, 90, of Crisfield, died Monday, May 24, 2010 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield September 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Edmund Davy and Dolly Sterling Tull. Her husband, William Whittington, preceded her in death in 1980.
A homemaker, she was a graduate of Crisfield High School. She had a great affection for her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William L. H. and Nancy Whittington of Seattle; four grandchildren, Edmund D. Whittington and Leslie H. Whittington, both of Seattle, Leah D. Eckley of Tucson and Ani M. Hoover of Buffalo; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Eckley.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Marion Station. The Rev. Laura Dorsey will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home Memorial Fund, 201 Hall Highway, Crisfield, MD 21817.
