Marie Lindale, 87, of Virginia Beach, VA and formerly of Crisfield, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Sentara Hospice House.

Born in Houston, DE she was the daughter of the late John Aptt and Letitia Sedgewick Aptt Wagemaker. Her husband, Harold George Lindale died on December 26, 2006.

Marie was a member and past Worthy Matron of the former Chesapeake Chapter # 28 Order of the Eastern Star, and member of the AARP Crisfield Chapter.

Surviving is a son, Mike (Debbie) Lindale of Virginia Beach, daughter, Jean L. Service of San Diego, CA, 4 grandchildren, Dawn Martin, Jennifer Ortiz, Michael Lindale, and Matthew Lindale, 6 great-grandchildren, Mikayla King-Ortiz, Alex Ortiz, Grace Martin, Colin Lindale, Bradley Lindale, and Drake Martin.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Jack Aptt.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Milford Community Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Pasmore will officiate. Friends may call at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home Monday from 11 to 12 PM.
