Marguerite Catherine Deweese, 75, of Marion and formerly of Baltimore, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

Born in Baltimore on September 18, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ellwood and Doris Thompson.

Marguerite grew up in Baltimore and later moved to the Eastern Shore where she lived for 30 years. She worked as a clerk and loved to babysit her family, friends, and neighbors' children. She was an avid "TV shopper" on QVC, and she loved to sing.  She also enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and doting on her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Carlene Wells and husband Kenny of Marion; grandchildren, Ashley Garpstas, Amber Fernau/Alex, Shane Wells, Felicia Wells, Megan Kauffman, and Andrew "A.J" Kauffman; great-grandchildren, Anabelle, Kathryn, Adam, Abigail, Natalie, Cyress, Andrew, and Creed.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Kauffman; and great-granddaughter, Emma Jean Cullen.

A graveside service officiated by Rev. Steve Willing will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 1PM.

In lieu flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
