Margaret Louise Hambrecht Wilson, 93, of Crisfield, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at her home.
Born in Madison, Wisconsin on February 26, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter Louis and Adeline Louise Spinti Hambrecht. Her husband of 51 years, Woodrow Thomas Wilson, preceded her in death November 4, 1997.
A 1941 graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison, she was a history teacher at Crisfield High School retiring in 1985. She also founded the Future Nurses of America organization there.
She was a member of Mariners United Methodist Church in Crisfield where she was historian, sang in the choir, and was active in the UMW.
She had a love for history, Bible history, animals- especially birds and dogs, and was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan.
She is survived by two daughters, Johanna Wilson Laird and husband John W. "Larry" Laird, III of Hebron and Carol Wilson Lundy of Crisfield; and a grandson, John Bay Wilson Laird of Hebron.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death her son, Thomas Walter Wilson in 1973; and her beloved dog "Roxie".
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior. The Rev. Bill Sterling will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
