Margaret Sue Sterling, 79, of Crisfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Baltimore and raised in Crisfield on June 30, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Sterling and Lois Moore Sterling Price.

Margaret was a 1961 graduate of Crisfield High School and was retired from Somerset County Public Schools, where she worked as a Paraprofessional for special needs children.

A lifetime member of Asbury United Methodist Church, she was very active within the Church. She taught Bible School and Sunday School, was the MYF Coordinator, led the Children's Youth Choir, and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Martha Circle.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and being outside, especially at the beach. She loved her family and friends, and cherished her time with them.

Surviving are her children, Kim Swann and husband Mike of Crisfield and Jamie Taylor and wife Cindy of Frenchtown; sister, Jane James of Middletown, DE; brother, Sidney F. Sterling of Perry Hall, MD; step-brother, Robert Price of Salisbury; grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Taylor Swann, Bradley Taylor and wife Brooke, and Nicole Taylor; great-grandchild, Hudson Taylor; her darling dog who she adored, Daisy; several nieces and nephews; a great-niece; a great-nephew; and many special friends.

Along with her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Edwin H. Price, who she said was "the best ever"; step-sister, Norma Lee Greene; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sterling and Doris Price.

A memorial service will be held at Janes Island State Park (on the waters edge behind the old pavilion) on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2 PM.
