Margaret Bernice McCoy, 91, of Hebron and formerly of Crisfield, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at her home.

Born in Crisfield on September 28, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Lacy Lee Sloan and Margaret Bernice Smith Sloan.  Her husband, Michael Donald McCoy, preceded her in death August 7, 2011.

She was a homemaker and worked at the former McCready Hospital and Peninsula Regional Medical Center as an LPN and Nursing Assistant.

She was a member of Delmarva Evangelistic Church and attended Abundant Life Worship Center in Salisbury.  She was also a member of Hadassah, an American Jewish volunteer women's organization.

Mrs. McCoy was always willing to help people and never expected anything in return.  She was loved by everybody and her children were the love of her life.

She is survived by six children, John Cullen and wife Susan of SC, Linda Burton and husband Bill of Hebron, Margaret Williamson and husband Dennis of Crisfield, Dixie Pruitt and husband Bill of Eden, Nelson Cullen of NC, and Tim Cullen and wife LouAnn of NC; her sister, Mary Sue Sloan of Crisfield; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services officiated by Pastors Jonathan and Linette Willey will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 1 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be from 12-1 PM.  Interment will follow in Rehoboth Presbyterian Cemetery.
