Margaret Somers Dize, 76, of Crisfield, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.

Born in Crisfield October 11, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Allen William "Froggy" Somers and Virginia Riggin Somers.

A member of Mt. Pleasant Church in Crisfield, Margaret was a retired cashier working for Kim Lawson at the former Tut's and Ward's Crossing Markets.  She also helped her husband with his crab business.

She loved to go riding on Sunday afternoons and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family.  She also enjoyed playing the slots, scratch rub off's, reading and doing puzzles.  Margaret knew no strangers and to know her was to love her.  She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and you always knew where you stood.  She will be missed by her family, friends, and community.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William "Bill" Charnick of Crisfield; her daughter, Sandra Landon of Crisfield; her sister, Mary Ruth Garrison of Crisfield; sister-in-law, Carol Smith of Crisfield; her grandchildren, Megan Evans and husband Jason, Blair Landon, Karri Barnes, and Noah Ford; great-grandchildren, Will Evans, Ava Evans, Caleb Evans, Kennedy Page, and Carter Page; two "adopted" children, Laurie Ann Miller and Timmy Collins; her special friends, Joe James and Rose McCarten; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Denise Dize; her brother and sister-in-law, Allen "Boh" and Bobbie Jean Somers; her son-in-law, Mark Landon; and her brother-in-law, Jesse Garrison.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home.  Rev. LeBron Palmer will officiate.  Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
