Margaret Coons Ardis, 93, of Rehobeth, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at her home.

Born July 7, 1920 on the Pocomoke River at her grandfather Henderson's home place, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Andrew Jackson Coons and Margaret Virginia Henderson Coons McCready.

Margaret was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church, and a member of the former Manokin Chapter #109 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Perry Drew Ardis of Rehobeth; a grandson, Andrew Paul Ardis of Pensecola, Florida; three brothers, Broadus Coons and wife Cynthia and Earl Coons and wife Suzanne, all of Rehobeth and Robert McCready of Princess Anne; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Lee Conner; and a brother, Jackson Coons.

A viewing will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10 – 10:30 AM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. A graveside funeral service, Eastern Star Service, and interment will follow at 11:15 AM at First Baptist Cemetery in Pocomoke. Rev. Alana Tyler will officiate.
