MABEL J. PARKS, 87, of Crisfield, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield.
Born in Crisfield August 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Christine Barnes Mosher. Her husband, Ralph W. Parks, preceded her in death July 21, 1997.
A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1939, she was a homemaker and member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Stanley Cochrane Post #16 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Faye Mills and her partner George Lane of Crisfield; her grandchildren, Julie Widdowson of Westover, Jeffrey Mills and his wife Cheri of Denver, Lori Ahmadi and her husband Ali of Kerman, Iran, Michelle Ross of Ocean Pines, Michael Lane and his wife Janise of Perry Hall, and Deborah McClure and her husband Dan of Towson; her great-grandchildren, Maggie, Mollie, Dellara, Madison, Kia, Kyler, Savannah, and Haley; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chester W. Mosher, who died in World War II; and her grandson-in-law, Logan C. Widdowson, who died March 12, 2009.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 3 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior. Father Edward Aigner will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield.
