Lucy Manning, 75, of Marion Station and formerly of West Virginia and Baltimore, died Friday, August 30, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Stephenson, West Virginia on March 31, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary Mills Lester. She was a factory worker at General Electric in Columbia, MD retiring in 1985, and had been making her home in Marion Station since 1990.

She was a devoted member of the Crisfield Church of God where she enjoyed working in church functions and helping with numerous activities.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Manning of Marion Station; her son, Gene "Speedy" Manning, Jr. and wife Kathy of Severna Park, MD; two grandchildren, Hailey Manning and Tyler Manning of Severna Park; two brothers, Dillard Lester of Columbus, Ohio and Gilbert Lester, Jr. and wife Sue of Beckley, West Virginia; two sisters, Joanne Brannen and husband Richard of Matoaka, West Virginia and Mary Charlotte Carter of Slabfork, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Barbara Lester of Stephenson; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Archie Lester and Sherman Lester; a brother-in-law Roger Carter; and a sister-in-law, Florence Lester.

Funeral services officiated by Rev. Harvey Tyler will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 2 PM at the Crisfield Church of God. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
