Lois Somers Riggin, 93, of Crisfield, died Monday, July 5, 2021 at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home.

Born in Crisfield November 8, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William "Willy" and "Neelie" Parks Somers.  Her husband of 60 years, William P. "Bill" Riggin, Jr. died August 5, 2006.

A graduate of Crisfield High School class of 1944, she worked at the former Charles D. Briddell Inc. and was a staple at the family business, Riggin's Grocery, for many years until their closing.  She loved to work and enjoyed reading.

She was a member of Crisfield First Baptist Church and was member and past president of both the Women's Civic Club and Princess Anne Business and Professional Women.

She is survived by three children, William Paul Riggin, III. of Crisfield, Matthew Thomas Riggin and wife Karen of Crisfield, and Betty McCabe and husband Charlie of Seaford; grandchildren, Adam Riggin and wife Lori, Abraham Riggin, Danielle Riggin Czubak and husband Steve, Michael Payne, Sarah Stone and husband Kyler, Ashli Hill, and Kayleen Hill; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Somers, and her sister, Doris Bozman.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home where a viewing will be one hour prior.  Pastor Jack "Tad" Maroon will officiate.  Interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park.
