Lois M. Chew, 83, of Annemessex Ridge near Crisfield, died on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home in Crisfield
Born on January 20, 1926 in Washington, DC, she was the daugher of the late Harlen Semler and Lillian Minor Semler. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Nationwide Insurance. Her husband, William B. "Bill" Chew, died on February 23, 1996.
She was a member of the former Chesapeake Chapter # 28 Order of the Eastern Star in Crisfield.
Surviving are two sons, William H. Chew (Linda) of Pasadena, MD, and Barry C. Chew (Marguerite) of Crisfield, three grandchildren, Brian A. Chew (Tonya) of Pasadena, Barry "Rocky" Chew, Jr., and Buffy Lyn Chew, both of Crisfield; 8 great-grandchildren, Blair Lyn Hancock, Lauren Nicole Chew, Bridget Louise Hancock, Brenden Chew, Bradley Chew, Amber Chew, Ashley Chew, and Brooke Lillian Hancock.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Robert Daniels will officiate. Entombment will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron
